Longboat Key restaurants include Harry's Continental Kitchens, Euphemia Haye Restaurant and The Haye Loft Lounge & Dessert Room, The Dry Dock Waterfront Grill, Mattison's Steakhouse, and MarVista Backside Restaurant and Pub. Attractions: Longboat Key is rich in high-end boutiques and five-star restaurants making it an ideal destination for vacationers who like their beach getaway on the swankier side. As a barrier island to the town known as the area's "cultural capital", an assortment of entertainment options can be found at nearby Sarasota where attractions and activities abound for all age groups. The island of Longboat Key is home to several premier, private golf courses, however nearby Sarasota and Bradenton areas offer top-rated golf courses a short drive off the island for golfers of every handicap. The Centre Shops is located just north of the Resort and includes shopping options of art galleries, restaurants, a dry cleaner, pharmacy and a UPS store - all the ingredients for the perfect spot to pick-up all your necessary beach essentials and remembrances. If you're looking for higher-end shopping, traveling to Lido Key's St. Armand's Circle is well worth the trip. Rumor has it that circus magnate John Ringling won Lido Key in a poker game that turned the sister island of Longboat Key into a world-famous attraction.
